TASB Risk Management Fund Board Elects Four New Trustees

The Texas Association of School Boards Risk Management Fund (Fund) is pleased to announce the election of four new members to the Fund Board of Trustees: Brenda Duhon of Port Neches-Groves ISD, Eric Cederstrom of Stephenville ISD, Mandy Traylor of Veribest ISD, and Chris Kvinta of Yoakum ISD. The election took place during the Fund Board's February 2026 meeting, and the new trustees joined the Board during its most recent meeting in April.

Dr. Brenda Duhon has served on the Port Neches-Groves ISD school board since 2023 and currently serves as the board secretary. Prior to being elected to the school board, Dr. Duhon spent over 40 years in public education before retiring in 2021 as the assistant superintendent for Port Neches-Groves ISD. Port Neches-Groves ISD participates in five of the Fund’s coverage programs and has been a continuous member of the Fund since 1977.

Dr. Eric Cederstrom has served as the superintendent for Stephenville ISD since 2022. Prior to joining Stephenville ISD, Dr. Cederstrom served as deputy superintendent in Pine Tree ISD and superintendent of Palo Pinto ISD. Stephenville ISD has been a continuous member of the Fund since 1976 and currently participates in all the Fund’s programs.

Mandy Traylor has served as the superintendent of Veribest ISD since 2021. In 2025, Traylor was named Region 15 Superintendent of the Year. Veribest ISD has been a continuous member of the Fund since 1979 and participates in all the Fund’s programs.

Chris Kvinta is the assistant superintendent of Yoakum ISD, where he has served the district for over 20 years. Yoakum ISD has been a member of the Fund since 2010 and participates in all the Fund’s programs.

These four new trustees bring a wealth of experience and knowledge from their districts to the TASB Risk Management Fund, supporting its mission to provide comprehensive risk solutions for Texas public schools.
