TASB Risk Management Fund Announces New Leadership Appointments
The Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Risk Management Fund has announced several key leadership appointments to its Board of Trustees, continuing its mission to provide comprehensive risk management solutions to Texas public schools. The Board, composed of experienced school leaders from across the state, plays a critical role in directing the Fund’s strategies.
The new leadership appointments include:
Dr. Jo Ann Bludau, Superintendent of Halletsville ISD, has been elected Chair of the TASB Risk Management Fund Board. Bludau, who served as Vice Chair of the Fund Board from 2021 to 2024, succeeds former Board Trustee Ted Beard in this role. Bludau has served on the Fund board in various roles since 2008, bringing nearly 30 years of experience in education. She has served as superintendent of Halletsville ISD since 2007. Halletsville ISD participates in all of the Fund’s programs, and has been a Fund member since 1986. Halletsville’s risk management programs have been featured during many Fund training events, including its 2024 members’ conference.
Anthony Hill, a member of the Coppell ISD Board of Trustees, has been appointed Vice Chair of the TASB Risk Management Fund Board. Hill has served on the Fund Board since 2014 and has held various officer roles, including serving as Chair of the Claims Committee from 2018 to 2024. Hill’s extensive service includes leadership roles with the North Texas Area Association of School Boards and the Coppell Education Foundation, as well as a long tenure as a director at Mobility Credit Union. Coppell ISD participates in all of the Fund’s programs and has been a member of the Fund since it was first established in 1974.
Wes Eversole, Chief Financial Officer at Lake Dallas ISD, has been re-elected Treasurer of the TASB Risk Management Fund Board. Eversole, who has more than 30 years of experience in public school finance, is a Certified Texas School Business Official and is active in several professional organizations. Lake Dallas ISD participates in all of the Fund’s programs and has been a member of the Fund since it was first established in 1974.
The new appointments underscore the Fund’s continued commitment to providing exceptional service and value to its more than 1,000 members.
