Austin - TASB Risk Management Services staff will lead multiple educational sessions at the 2026 TASA Midwinter Conference, held January 25-28 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, and the TASBO Engage Conference, held February 23-27 at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine.

The sessions will share practical strategies and insights to strengthen campus security, defend against cybercrime, and make strategic coverage decisions.

Who You Gonna Call? Cybersecurity Response 101

An estimated 82% of schools experienced a cyber event between July 2023 and December 2024. This session prepares attendees to act swiftly and confidently in a cyber crisis. Attendees will learn how to build a Cybersecurity Annex, complete critical response actions in the first 48 hours, engage legal and forensic experts, and integrate cybersecurity into emergency plans.

From Concept to Commission: Key Considerations for Creating a School Police Department
