Join us for a day-long symposium on Title IX of the Civil Rights Act of 1972, the federal law that prohibits sex discrimination in public schools. TASB Risk Management Fund members in school districts and community colleges will learn the history of Title IX through the foundational case law, receive an update on recent litigation trends and relevant state legislation, and hear legal experts discuss the role of the Title IX coordinator. Participants will also receive practical advice on surviving complaints and litigation from the perspective of a former Office of Civil Rights (OCR) attorney and an experienced litigator.

Suggested audience: Title IX coordinators, trustees, superintendents, assistant superintendents, risk managers, HR directors, college presidents, vice presidents, deans, and other K-12 or community college administrators
