Dr. Dan Troxell, Superintendent of Leander ISD, was appointed to the Risk Management Fund Board in January 2005. He previously served 14 years as superintendent of Kerrville ISD. He was named Superintendent of the Year by the Texas Association of School Boards in 2008, awarded the 2006 Region 20 Advocate of the Gifted and led KISD to numerous awards and accolades.
Troxell began his career as a middle school teacher before transitioning into school administration as a middle school and high school assistant principal, and later as a high school principal. Prior to his successful tenure in KISD, he proudly served in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, Allen ISD and Round Rock ISD.
Dan earned his Bachelor's Degree with honors from the University of Texas at Austin, Master's Degree at Texas State University, and Doctorate at University of Texas at Austin.
