Paul McLarty joined the Fund Board in March 2017. He is the Deputy Superintendent of Business and Support Services at Clear Creek Independent School District.
Paul received his BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University in 1979 and his MBA in Finance from the University of Houston in 1985.
He started his career in the private industry, working for companies ranging from a Fortune 50 oil and gas exploration/production company, to a start-up joint venture firm building and operating waste-to-energy cogeneration plants in the Northeast United States. He began his public entity service in 1995 as the Budget Director for Galveston County, where he served as the County’s chief financial executive and chief of staff for the Commissioner’s Court.
In 2000, Paul began his school business career with Galveston ISD and has been a senior financial and operational executive for three school districts. Since 2003 Paul has served in his current position at Clear Creek ISD.
Paul is a member of the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO), the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO), and the Government Financial Officers Association (GFOA). He is also an active member of the Space Center Rotary Club serving as a Trustee of the Space Center Rotary Foundation.
In his spare time, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife, Patty, and four grandchildren.
