Robert E. Sheppard

Sheppard has been a member of the Pleasant Grove ISD School Board for 15 years and has served as its president and vice-president. He was appointed to the TASB Risk Management Board in November 1999  and also serves as a  TASB Board Director. A retired revenue agent at the Internal Revenue Service, Sheppard serves on the board of the Red River Federal Credit Union and the Texas Credit Union League, and is the current chair of the Bowie Central Appraisal District. He also proudly serves as a member of the Methodist Retirement Communities Board.  He is a Master Trustee and Leadership TASB graduate, has served on the Property/Casualty Fund Board, and has participated in Delegate Assembly and the Grassroots Advocacy Process. Sheppard belongs to the Northeast Texas School Boards Association, serving in 2000–2001 as its president. He attended Louisiana Tech University and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics.
