Gerry FleurietGerry Fleuriet of Harlingen CISD joined the Fund Board in September 2004 and is a former TASB Director.
Currently president of her local school for the second time, Fleuriet has held the positions of vice-president and secretary. She serves on the Development Board of the University of Texas at Brownsville, where she chairs the Distinguished Lecture Series, and is on the Valley Baptist Foundation Board. Fleuriet is also vice-president of the Harlingen Area Educational Foundation and South Texas Emergency Care Foundation, both award-winning organizations, and president of PEO Chapter T Women's Organization. In addition, she is on the executive committee of Girl Scouts Tip of Texas Council, active in Rotary International, and a founder of Lifetime Honorary Director of RioFest, Inc.

Fleuriet earned her bachelor's degree in education at Peabody College of Vanderbilt University.
