Cindy L. Purdy

Region 17

Purdy has been on the Muleshoe ISD board since 1987 and has held the positions of secretary, vice-president, and president. She served on the TASB Board from 1994-97 and 2003-present. She graduated from Leadership TASB as a master trustee in 1994. In addition, Purdy currently chairs the Risk Management Fund Board, served as a member of the TASB Legislative Advisory Council, and has participated in the Association's Delegate Assembly, Grassroots Process, and School Board Advocacy Network.
 
The homemaker earned a bachelor of science in education and a master of education from Sam Houston State University, and a mid-management certification in education administration from Eastern New Mexico University. She also has been active in the South Plains School Boards Association, Child Welfare Board, Beta Sigma Phi service sorority, Muleshoe Area Education Foundation, and the Texas Tech Chancellor’s Council.
