Get the Latest on COVID-19 and Unemployment Claims

Dates: June 10
Time: 10-11 a.m.

The Fund, in partnership with the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO), is offering you a unique opportunity to participate in the following Unemployment Claims webinar and receive continuing education that counts toward 30 TASBO hours for professional certification.

Course Description: The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is monitoring the constantly evolving COVID-19 pandemic and updating its guidance on unemployment claims. To keep our members current, the Fund will host three sessions of our popular unemployment claims webinar.

Each session will share the latest information and best practices for responding to unemployment claims filed by substitutes, as well as full- and part-time employees during the pandemic.

Please Note: Because TWC unemployment claim information and guidance is evolving, we will not distribute a recording of this webinar.

Presenter: James Ezell, Unemployment Compensation Attorney, Legal and Regulatory Affairs, TASB Risk Management Services
