Risk Management Resources
The Fund offers a variety of resources to help members prevent and mitigate accidents, injuries, and damage. These education and employee training materials are intended to help you create safe, secure working environments and reduce exposure to risks, ultimately lowering claim costs.
Digital safety handbooks ▼
Occupation-specific safety handbooks for member employees describe the safest methods for performing tasks within an employee's assigned job duties. Members with Workers' Compensation program can request digital copies of the safety handbooks.
The handbooks for districts address five types of employees:
- Custodial (English and Spanish)
- Food Service (English and Spanish)
- Maintenance (English and Spanish)
- Transportation (English and Spanish)*
*Members with Auto coverage are eligible to receive this handbook.
The handbooks for community colleges address two different types of employees:
- Operations Support (English and Spanish)
Streaming safety videos ▼
Teaching safety is critical for school district and community college members, but it can be a challenge. Members with Workers’ Compensation coverage can log in to myTASB for secured access to streaming safety videos to make it a little easier to teach the essentials of safety at work.
These videos provide an introduction to:
- Back injury prevention
- Bloodborne pathogens
- Classroom safety
- Custodial safety awards
- Hazard communications
- Kitchen safety
- Safety orientation
- School district driver safety*

Employee training kits ▼
These downloadable kits help members communicate the importance of safety to their employees. Members with Workers' Compensation coverage can log in to myTASB for secured access to download the training kits.
Covering a different topic each month, each bilingual kit contains:
- Payroll stuffers
Webinar recordings ▼
Offered live throughout the year, webinars provide high-quality training in a convenient format. Attendees learn about a variety of risk management topics from the comfort of their office. Webinars are recorded so that you can catch up on one you missed, or share them with your staff for additional training opportunities. Continuing education credit is not available for archived webinars. Members with all lines of coverage can review the archive of recorded webinars and then request access to specific ones.
