Our annual Excellence Awards program recognizes members that implement effective, innovative solutions to their risk management challenges.

Excellence Awards Program

The Fund’s strength is built on more than 1,000 members coming together to share and manage risk. Our Excellence Award program recognizes school districts, community colleges, and education service centers that implement exemplary solutions to common and emerging risk management challenges. Winners receive a plaque, a monetary award, and recognition in Fund and TASB publications.

Criteria

Excellence Awards applications are evaluated on these criteria:

  • Effectiveness: Solution directly improves your risk management practices, functions, or processes.
  • Efficiency: Solution makes good use of resources, including money and staff time.
  • Impact: Solution addresses a critical or pressing need for your organization, demonstrated by specific and documented financial savings or reduced injuries.
  • Innovation: Solution is creative and represents out-of-the-box thinking or a creative adaptation of an established idea
