Alliance Information for Injured Workers

If you are injured on the job and your employer is covered by the TASB Risk Management Fund (the Fund) and you are seeking medical treatment for your injury, contact your employer immediately. Please be aware that the Fund has contracted with the Political Subdivision Workers' Compensation Alliance (the Alliance) to provide medical benefits to injured workers.

Choosing a Doctor to Treat Your Injury

If your service area has been established, your employer will inform you with the Employee Notice of Alliance Requirements (revised 01/04/08) and you will be required to sign and return the Employee Acnowledgement of Alliance Requirements. Both documents in English and Spanish are located in the Downloads box on the right side of this page.

Alliance List of Treating Doctors

Your employer will provide a list of treating doctors and other medical providers. The lists are also available on the Alliance Web Site. You can reach the Alliance at 866.997.7922. You may only choose a doctor from the list designated as "Treating". Specialists may not be chosen as treating doctors.

Changing Alliance Treating Doctors

If you wish to change treating doctors after your initial and an alternate choice, you may do so after you obtain approval from the Fund. Please complete the form located in the Downloads box on the right side of this page and fax to your adjuster.

If Your Alliance Service Area Has Not Been Established Yet...

Call your adjuster at 800.482.7276 for information on possible providers that may treat your injury. You may choose a doctor licensed and willing to treat workers' compensation in the state of Texas. You may also choose a treating doctor from TXCOMP, a provider listing available on the Division of Workers' Compensation Web Site.
