The Fund's full range of services in the Property/Casualty Program are designed to minimize losses and keep your interests on firm financial ground.
Claims Administration
All claims are processed by knowledgeable TASB employees. Our experienced and licensed adjusters investigate, evaluate, and negotiate all claims involving members. Independent adjusters are used to assess property damage, appraise vehicle damage, and conduct scene investigations as required.

Loss Prevention
The TASB Risk Management Fund can work with your district to develop a comprehensive loss prevention program to protect your students, staff, buildings, and equipment. The following loss prevention services are offered:
- Management consultations
- Physical Hazard surveys
- Bus Collision Safety courses
- Loss Prevention information support
- Loss Prevention seminars
Property Appraisals
To accurately assess the property values of Texas school districts, appraisals must take into consideration the unique features of school district property. The Funds' appraisal specialists utilize the Boeckh Cost and Estimating System. By integrating our expertise with the powerful Boeckh System, we can factor in the special considerations that may not apply to standard commercial buildings and could be overlooked by appraisers unfamiliar with schools. TASB provides free appraisals to members of the property program. Appraisal services are available on a fee-basis to non-property members.
