Loss Prevention Services

Our mission is to support members of the Fund’s Workers’ Compensation and Property and Liability programs with high impact, low cost services and solutions designed to prevent injuries and losses of staff, property, and other valuable resources.  We deliver these services through comprehensive consultations, increased health and safety awareness, staff training, and workplace surveys.  These services also include Loss Prevention Safety Coordinator and Vehicle Collision Investigation courses, Loss Prevention Grants, and assistance with building customized Accident Prevention Plans.

Effective loss prevention goes beyond safety checklists and routine inspections. As work environments change and technology advances, safety programs and plans must keep pace. Our loss prevention services have evolved to better serve your needs, but active, productive loss prevention that minimizes your risk and maximizes your savings must become a priority.

In 2010, Loss Prevention Services:

• Made over 1,700 service visits across the state of Texas.
• Trained over 21,000 district employees.
• Conducted 803 exposure surveys resulting in over 1,300 injury prevention and property protection recommendations.
• Awarded Loss Prevention Grants totaling $550,000 to members of the WC and P/L programs.
• Initiated the Emergency Management and School Security pilot program.
