Recall to Repair: Whitco Company LP Stadium Light Poles

On July 6th, 2010, the Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall to repair light poles manufactured by Whitco. The poles, which range between one and four tons, can fracture or crack and fall over, posing a risk of serious injury or death to patrons and bystanders. There are more than 2,500 of the affected steel poles installed around the country. Click here to view a listing of locations that may have the affected poles. Immediate efforts should be taken to professionally inspect and evaluate poles, repairing or replacing those with any cracking or fracturing.
