Loss Prevention Hot Topics: National Safety Week May 6-12, 2007

General Information

National Safety Week was designed to emphasize the importance of safety in every working environment. According to the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) website the goal for the NAOSH safety week is to focus the attention of employers, employees, the general public and all partners in occupational safety, health and the environment on the importance of preventing injury and illness in the workplace. ASSE has set Wednesday, May 9, 2007, during the NAOSH week for Occupational Safety and Health Professional Day. The purpose of this day is to recognize the ongoing efforts of occupational safety, health and environmental professionals to protect people, property and the environment.

Please take a few moments and review this website (listed below) that gives information about NAOSH and list some safety ideas to try in the workplace.
