Loss Prevention Hot Topics: Disinfectants & Influenza A Viruses
In response to the threat of the H1N1 influenza virus, it is important for school districts and other educational entities to disinfect hard surfaces in order to stop the spread of the disease. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), a list of 500 disinfectants have been registered and approved for use against Influenza A viruses.
The EPA stresses the importance of following label instructions on all disinfectants. All products on the list are to be used for:
