Response

The response phase includes all activities necessary to manage the emergency.  All of the actions taken in the previous phases come into play as district officials coordinate their response to the incident.

Response includes:

• Utilization of the Incident Command System
• Staff and students directed to employ appropriate response as practiced in drills
• Deployment of personnel and resources according to an Incident Action Plan
• Collaboration and cooperation with emergency responders
