Our loss prevention consultants are regionally based; their territories mainly follow the lines between education service centers, though sometimes encompass more or less area to balance work load and increase response times. Edwin joined the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) as Director of Loss Prevention Services in October 1997. He is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing safety/health and loss prevention programs to obtain injury and exposure reduction objectives for Property/Casualty and Workers’ Compensation program participants. His experience in safety and health programs relating to reducing workers’ compensation injuries in the workplace began in 1988. He was selected as the first Workers Health and Safety Divisions Operations Officer for the Texas Workers’ Compensation Commission in 1992. He has thirty years experience in managing and directing regulatory programs at the state and federal level and is a graduate of the Governor’s Center for Management Development, Senior Management Development Program. He is a certified Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST).

Edwin earned his undergraduate degree from Troy State University and Masters Degree in Public Administration from Golden Gate University.
