Ask anyone whether children should be protected from fire and the answer is unanimous: Of course they should. October is Fire Prevention Month and is a perfect time to review your policies and practices to see whether they effectively decrease your chances of a fire.
For seven years now, the Fund has recognized members for their innovation and success in risk management, and next year will be no different. Applications are now being accepted for the Fund's eighth annual Innovation Award. Up to ten members will be honored for their initiatives, products, or programs and will receive a plaque and $1,000 to apply toward their continued risk management efforts.
In September and October, the TASB Risk Management Fund is bringing free* member training to you with the Fall Regional Seminars. These intensive, one-day seminars are presented by TASB's expert risk management staff and focus on the subjects that are most important to you.
