by Ron Garza

A new school year is here! Thinking about what your district or educational entity is doing to mitigate or minimize risk? Did your district created a new campus-wide safety program for the upcoming school year? How about a campus produced training video? If so, why not showcase your creativity and innovation by applying for one of the Sixth Annual TASB Risk Management Fund Innovation Awards? Members in the Workers’ Compensation, Property/Casualty and/or Unemployment Compensation programs are eligible and welcome to apply. Entries−which can include manuals, newsletters, videos, and training−will be evaluated on cost effectiveness, originality, transferability, and the ability to address needs at the overall member level. Up to ten winners will be selected, based on program details, to receive a $1000 award to apply to their risk management programs. Feel like a trailblazer? Want to win $1000? Applying is quick and easy. All award entries must be received by January 16, 2009. So, read the information below to get started today!
