Fund Offers Risk Management Webinars to Members

The TASB Risk Management Fund has just made high quality risk management training and education that much easier. The Fund, in partnership with the Texas Association of School Boards, has launched a new monthly Webinar series exclusively for members of the Fund. Whether you are a member of the Fund’s Property and Liability, Workers’ Compensation, or Unemployment Compensation program, you are able to take advantage of this new training opportunity for no additional cost to your membership.

In an effort to meet member needs and reduce the costs and frustrations associated with travel, Fund Webinars enable attendees to learn about their legal rights and obligations, cost savings, and how to do business in a safe and efficient matter without ever leaving their desks. In both live and prerecorded sessions, members can learn about slips, trips, and falls, the basics of workers’ compensation, auto liability coverage and claims, responding to unemployment compensation, and so much more!

The series kicked off in November with a session on emergency management in schools, and continues December 9 with “Responding to Unemployment Compensation Claims,” presented by James Ezell, UC Attorney for TASB Risk Management Services. The series carries into the new year with “Workers’ Compensation 101: Just the Basics,” set for January 20, 2011.
