Fund Members’ Conference Provides Unique Educational Opportunity
By Stacy Corluccio
Mark your calendars for April 17-19, 2011, to attend the annual TASB Risk Management Fund Members’ Conference in Austin, Texas. For over 15 years, the Members’ Conference has served as a cornerstone in the Fund’s assortment of risk management training opportunities. Though the conference has evolved over time, the idea remains the same: provide a forum for like-minded educational professionals to discuss and learn about the most pertinent topics in risk management without breaking their budgets. With that goal in mind, all Fund members can once again preregister for the event free of charge, as well as take advantage of complimentary meals and coverage credits just for attending. These economic benefits, while unique, are not the only reasons the Fund’s Members’ Conference is the number one choice for risk management training and networking.
"We recognize Fund members have specialized needs and exposures, and we tailor our training to suit them."
The Fund, in partnership with the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB), offers timely, relevant, and informative breakout sessions and roundtables that extend beyond traditional insurance training. We recognize Fund members have specialized needs and exposures, and we tailor our training to suit them. Session topics are selected based on member feedback and current hot topics in the field. Further, attendees can rest assured all Members’ Conference presenters are experts in the education industry in addition to being risk management professionals.
The 2011 conference will once again be housed at the Hyatt Regency Austin Hotel and will kick off on Sunday with an early-bird dinner. The conference officially commences Monday morning with an inspirational message from our keynote speaker, followed promptly by a full day of breakout sessions. Several sessions are offered at a time, so whether you are a member of our Property and Liability, Unemployment Compensation, and/or Workers’ Compensation programs, you will find a session relevant to your needs.
"The conference will conclude with the annual Coverage Credit Drawings, where members in attendance have the opportunity to win $1,000, $3,000, and $5,000 toward their renewal."
Tuesday will continue with breakout sessions, a host of risk management roundtables, and a general Legislative session. The conference will conclude with the annual Coverage Credit Drawings, where members in attendance have the opportunity to win $1,000, $3,000, and $5,000 toward their renewal.
Registration and other conference information will be on line in late January 2011, so check back soon for updates. Whether you are a conference veteran or will attend for the first time, the Fund invites you to see why the annual Members’ Conference is the best risk management educational event for schools in the state of Texas!
