Loss Prevention Secured Access Resources

If you are a member of the the Fund's Workers' Compensation (WC) program, you can gain access to members-only myTASB Loss Prevention resources that assist members with the safe prevention and mitigation of accidents and injuries. Being armed with tools, resources, and most importantly the knowledge gained from them, reduces exposure and ultimately lowers claims costs for all. 

You must have a myTASB user ID and password to access these resources. If you do not have a user ID or password, consult with your designated Program Contact. Loss Prevention Manual    

With a reputation for reliability, expertise, and service to our members, who else would be more qualified than the Fund to write the book on school-specific loss prevention? The TASB Risk Management Fund’s Loss Prevention Manual provides members with the information and resources needed to implement an effective loss prevention program for their facilities and campuses.

Among its many contents, this manual contains the nine points to an effective Accident Prevention Plan, one of the most effective ways to reduce injuries and claims. With your Loss Prevention Consultant at your side, the manual gives you powerful tools to build and enhance your programs for loss and injury prevention.

Employee Safety Handbooks    

These occupation-specific employee safety handbooks describe the safest methods for performing tasks within the employee's assigned job duties. They target five types of employees:

• Administrative/Instructional
• Custodial (in English and Spanish)
• Food Service (in English and Spanish)
• Maintenance (in English and Spanish)
• Transportation (in English and Spanish)*

Loss Prevention Safety Videos    

Essentials of Safety Videos    

Teaching safety can be a difficult task and we want to help. All members of the Workers’ Compensation program are entitled to our three-part DVD set of safety essentials. Members can keep these videos and use them as long as they wish. These videos provide an introduction to:

• Custodial Safety Awards
• Back Injury Prevention
• Bloodborne Pathogens
• Hazard Communications
• Safety Orientation
• Classroom Safety
• Kitchen Safety

Safety Training Library    

Need a video covering a more specific topic?  Borrow one from us!  Members of the Workers’ Compensation program can request up to three videos at a time.  Videos must be returned within 30 days. Our safety video library grows every year and covers the following subjects:
