Dan Wilkinson received his B.S. in Education from Southwest Texas State University in 1971, and eventually received his M.S. in Safety Management from Central Missouri while serving for the United States Air Force. Dan has over 20 years of Risk Management experience. He served as a field safety officer for an oilfield service company prior to becoming a classroom teacher for Ector County ISD in 1986. He became the district's Supervisor of Safety in 1989 and subsequently became the district's Risk Manager, Director of Purchasing, and Director of Employee Benefits until he joined the TASB staff on March 1, 2005.
